A large, 5-level home set high on a steep block was extensively renovated to improve access between all levels, simplify vertical circulation and modernise all internal spaces for easy indoor-outdoor living, incorporating the northern aspect & water views. Internally, using an existing stairwell, rooms were opened up, a lift was added and a palette of natural materials in warm bright tones was introduced to create a contemporary, timeless home. Externally, concrete textures and natural bamboo battens were used to add warmth and visual interest, significantly improving its street presentation.
Overall, clean lines and a warm yet minimalist, contemporary style sum up the design of this home.
