Gordon Street House

Sited just below street level, this home opens to a central light filled double height hallway overlooking a large pond surrounded by a grove of bamboo. The two level home adopts a ‘H’ floor plan with living areas on either side of this water feature. Large sliding doors off the primary living area are framed by a deep sculptural opening leading onto a terrace. The sliding doors recess into a wall, creating a seamless transition to the pool terrace and garden. The black zinc-clad upper level sits over a base of white rendered walls and the floating skillion roof combined with grey sandstone floors reinforce the clean contemporary design.
