Bay House
Mosman
This large home set deep below street level on a steeply sloping block required major reconfiguration due to haphazard additions made over the years. We focussed on better street access into the property, with the new entry from the top floor becoming the entry-level of this two storey-home. New open living spaces lead onto a large covered terrace and the open-plan layout achieves transparency with the various spaces defined by two timber-clad boxes which contain the guest bathroom and a pantry. On the levels below, rooms were combined to create a large playroom with a feature graffiti wall overlooking the swimming pool. The master bedroom suite was reconfigured to include a dressing room and all other bedrooms & bathrooms were refurbished.
The overall design references mid-century modern and features walls with full height glazing, a flat roof with large eaves overhangs & spacious covered terraces for outdoor living set within lush gardens.
