Gill joined Corben Architects in 2008 and is one of our senior project architects responsible for running numerous residential projects. During Gill’s career, she’s worked on single and medium-density residential projects in Sydney along with a number of shopping centres in Japan.
On weekends, Gill spends time with her young family and enjoys the outdoor lifestyle of the northern beaches – bodyboarding, running and chasing a soccer ball around the futsal court with the Allambie Lambs.
Yun (Spark) Gao

Yun, or as everyone calls him, ‘Spark’, moved from Shanghai to Sydney in 2003. He joined Corben Architects in 2014 after working with several small to medium-scale architecture firms. At Corben Architects, Spark has delivered numerous high-end residential projects ranging from renovations and additions through to substantial new builds.
Spark is fluent in Mandarin and works closely with our Chinese clients.
Outside work, Spark enjoys travelling and experiencing different cultures.
B.Arch M.Arch Dip. Vis Comm
Andreas is a graduate architect, having recently completed his Masters of Architecture in 2017.
He enjoys being involved in all aspects of a project. His experience and personal passion in designing custom-made steel and timber furniture affords him a keen eye for detail and structure.
Andreas loves attending motorsport and car show events around Sydney and reading up on Modern American Architecture.
Sid joined Corben Architects in early 2019. After completing his postgraduate degree in architecture, he worked with a number of Sydney’s respected practices, where he gained valuable insight into the design and construction process. He has a passion for producing high-quality residential designs. Sid particularly enjoys the process of developing a design from concept through to completion.
In his free time, you’ll find Sid weight training in the gym, playing his guitar or appreciating cinema with his family and friends.
Senior Interior Designer
Karina has 15 years’ experience as an interior designer working on a broad range of large-scale residential and commercial projects. Before joining Corben Architects in 2017, she spent almost 11 years at one of Australia’s largest design firms.
After the arrival of her two children, the aspiration for creating the perfect home brought her back to residential design where her real passion lies.
Outside of work, Karina enjoys spending time outdoors, going to the beach, bike riding with her young family and playing competitive hockey.

Following graduation, Anna worked for a small practice, where she was exposed to a broad range of residential projects.
Her favourite aspect of the design process is transforming a brief from a checklist into a living environment that is tailor-made for her clients.
On weekends, Anna loves exploring different areas of Sydney, long coastal and bush walks and catching up with friends. She also enjoys skiing whenever there is fresh snow, playing tennis and golf and living an active lifestyle.
Lucy has a passion for interior design that started helping friends with the styling and fit-outs of their homes some 13 years ago. Previously, she’d worked in the travel, advertising, restaurant, functions and events management industries for over 20 years.
Lucy is married to Corben Architects’ Managing Director, Philip, so it was only a matter of time before she started working with the team on our projects.
Outside of work, Lucy keeps active with early morning gym workouts and long walks. She loves joining Philip and her family at Ayindi – their Byron Bay beachside hideaway.
Alex started working with Corben Architects in 2017 and is currently completing his Master of Architecture. He provides valuable administration support, alongside documentation and modelling of numerous projects.
Alex spends his spare time with his family, friends and partner. He has a strong passion for all things automotive and mechanical. On weekends, Alex loves working on his cars and taking long drives.
B.Des (Int & Spatial) B.Des (Arch)
Erin works as an architecture student at Corben Architects and wishes to complete her studies in the coming years. She has previously completed a Bachelor of Interior Spatial Design and a Bachelor of Design of Architecture.
Erin assists multiple senior architects with modelling and documentation. Her favourite aspects of the design process are the small-scale details that accumulate over a project’s entirety.
Outside work, Erin enjoys travelling the world and immersing herself into different cultures and experiences. She has a strong passion for life outdoors, which includes hiking, running and playing netball on the weekends.
Annalise joined Corben Architects in early 2019 as an Architecture Student. Her studies have previously taken her overseas, where she spent a semester abroad in Canada after being granted an exchange scholarship.
Annalise provides administration, documentation and modelling support to her colleagues. She also enjoys assisting with the marketing and social media management of the practice.
Outside of Corben Architects, Annalise works part-time for an artist. There, she offers her drawing and software skills to help with the development of exhibitions and commissions. In her spare time, Annalise enjoys going to live music gigs, reading and playing basketball.
Debra has had an extensive and varied career in Sydney, after migrating northward from Melbourne. She worked at Citibank for almost 15 years, including time as Vice President of Loan Administration for the corporate real estate division.
After raising her two children, Debra returned to study to become an independent BAS agent. She now undertakes accounting and bookkeeping services for Corben Architects, which she cites as one of her favourite clients.
Simple pleasures include family time, early morning power walks, gardening, reading and watching films.
Janelle joined Corben Architects in 2014, leaving behind a career in Sports Science and Exercise Physiology. She manages the office, project resources, finances and is in the unique position of being a former client.
As well as being the Business Manager, Janelle is often the first port of call for new clients. She has a genuine appreciation of their needs and a thorough understanding of the design and construction process.
Janelle is a keen cyclist and loves traversing the hills of Mosman and Sydney’s National Parks. She also travels to Europe each year where she cycles the Alps of Italy, France and Spain with her husband.
